High school accomplishments

Anastasia has done a lot the last four years at DHS. Starting off with classes, she has taken multiple AP courses after starting off with honors courses her freshman year. For sports, she's been a 3 varsity sport athlete for track & field, cheerleading and softball! Anastasia was a Voice4Change recipient, crowned princess of the Barnum Festival during her junior year, and a winner of regional championships!

the high school experience

Anastasia expressed how honored she is to be recognized as a top 10 student. Her favorite part of high school has been meeting her friends throughout the last 4 years being at DHS from classmates to teachers and staff!
"To be acknowledged as a top 10 student, the only word I can use is honored. I feel like I have put so much time in to school and it is finally paying off, even though I never thought it would."

taking the next step

After graduating this year, Anastasia will be attending Louisiana State University to major in Biomedical Sciences with a pre-track in biomedical engineering! She will then use this degree to pursue a career somewhere in the medical field. She's aware of the nerves that may come with entering college, but she's prepared for what the future holds for her.

advice for underclassmen striving for top 10

Anastasia was very straightforward with her advice to underclassmen aiming for top 10.
"Come to school everyday ready to learn, try your best and you don't always have to get A’s."
